1930sEar Trumpet

Ear trumpets were commonly used from the early 17th century until the dawn of NHS hearing aids, in the 1960s. This trumpet made of thermoformed cellulose nitrate with a tortoiseshell effect, guided sound waves into the ear. The mouldability of plastic makes it the ideal material to get the best shape.
